How to make a frilly scarf from Sashay yarn with our Loom
This example uses Red Heart Sashay yarn. This is how Sashay yarn looks. One edge is more “finished” so this is the edge of your scarf. The other edge has bigger holes that will go over the pegs.
Start by putting one hole over a peg, leave a 4 to 6 inch end hanging down inside the loom.

Continue around the loom putting the yarn over each peg, you will be using about every other hole in the yarn – so there is one empty hole in between, but sometimes you might have two empty holes if it feels too tight.
When you get to the first peg you put yarn on, put the yarn on that peg again. Pull the bottom loop of yarn over the top loop and over the peg so it is on the other side. In the picture below you will pull the lighter blue over the darker blue. You can use a hook as shown or just use your fingers.

Continue to the next peg and repeat. Keep doing this going around and around, pushing the yarn down the middle as it bunches. It will be inside out in a long tube as your scarf grows.
When you finish and have about 6 inches of yarn left it is time to bind off. Instead of putting a loop over the next peg, pull the remaining yarn through the loop on the peg at the same time removing the loop from the peg. Do the same with the remaining pegs.

After you have pulled the yarn through all the pegs pull it tight and knot the end so it is secure. The knot will be inside the scarf so don’t worry about how it looks.
Go back to the beginning end and pull the tail of yarn through a loop about 4 or 5 inches above, this way when you turn it inside out this tail will be on the inside and hidden. Now just turn it inside out by pushing and pulling the yarn from the inside
